Unit Members:
ATTENTION: The auxiliary will now be meeting on the
third TUESDAY of each month. Board of Directors will start @ 6:30 and the
General Assembly will follow @ 7:00. Please mark your calendars and pass the
word around.
It’s
that time of year when our community schools can use our help. The Unit will be
collecting school supplies, such as Elmer’s glue, crayons, washable markers,
tissues, pencils, rulers, scissors, back packs, lunch bags, etc. Please help
out by either making cash donations, or donating supplies. You can bring them to
The Home, where we will have a box displayed for your items. Cash donations can
be placed in the pass down book, with my name on it. Thank you in advance.
Please
don’t throw away your old glasses and cell phones. Donate them to the
unit.
My
heartfelt sympathies, to those who lost of loved one. To those who are sick or
recovering from an illness, I wish you a speedy recovery. If you are
celebrating a Birthday or Anniversary I wish you many happy returns.
I
remain yours in L/P/S,
Pat Suckow

FROM THE HOME COMMITTEE
This is the first year I have served on the Home
Committee. So, far, it has been an “interesting job”.
The month of September will bring us several events. Mark
your calendars.
Luau, Saturday, September 22nd, we’ll be
taking a journey to the isles with a luau.
Enjoyed the Western Night jail?? Wait ‘til you’re sent to
see the Witch Doctor of the Tiki Hut!!! He’s there to hex and perplex if you
don’t follow his instructions!
Come dressed in your favorite island/tourist attire.
There will be lots of fun and games.
If you missed the Anniversary Bash, you missed a wonderful
evening. Thank you to all those that helped. The food was outstanding. It was a
lot of hard work to pull it off so well. Compliments abounded by those who
attended the dinner and your efforts in the sweltering heat of summer did not
go unnoticed. THANK YOU!!!!!
September 16th at 1200hrs will be the next
home committee meeting. Any member is invited to attend. Did you know this is
the forum where your ideas can be discussed? You can discuss and make proposals
to be voted on by your committee members. Let yourself be heard. If you’re the
quiet type, drop your suggestion in the suggestion box.
See you
in September,
Kathy
